Do Laser Engravers Need Ventilation? Fume Extraction Guide
Yes. Every laser job releases fine particulate and gases, so ventilation is mandatory, not optional. Either duct the enclosure outdoors through a sealed run or recirculate through a filtered fume extractor with HEPA and activated carbon stages. Size the airflow from enclosure volume: roughly 150 CFM for desktops and 300 to 500 CFM for cabinet CO2 machines.
